Edema w/bruising

Hi Everyone---
I'm not subject to edema, but the other nite I looked at my feet & legs & they were very swollen, and my right foot was completely bruised, (dark blue) There was no cause for the bruising and no pain connected with it. Just wondering if anyone has any info on that?? I do have a Medtronic Pacemaker.

Sudden edema is always a reason to talk to your doctor. Ditto the bruising. I'd check with the internist first, don't assume it's cardiac.

Edema can be dangerous; never having it and it being very bad sounds like an emergency!

You say you have bruising; however extremities lose oxyen first and turn blue.

If you haven't already, see your Dr ASAP or an ER
