Welcome from another Brit. I found this site 4 years ago and it was very supportive to me in those early days when coming to terms with a device is something you think will never happen. I have an ICD and there were some very dark times then but now it has become a part of my life for which I am very grateful. I know the feeling of loneliness and to this day I have never been fortunate enough to speak face to face with anyone here in GB who has an ICD - so this group has been great. Just knowing there are others out there who are only too happy to provide words of encouragement will be a huge comfort to you. Ask all you like - someone will always be there to help you.
Take care,
Lesley

It's much better to live with a pacemaker than to risk your life without one.
