reassurance
Had pacemaker inplanted 9 days ago for sss/wenckebach (not overly sure which yet)! Still getting used to it, it was all a bit of a rush to get me in and the procedure done after an abnormal result from a 24 hour e.c.g monitoring. I am having strong thudding feelings, especially at night, and it was making me really nervous, but since reading comments from others that they feel the same sensations I feel so much better! I have mine set at 50 so I think that's the reason

Write down all your questions, things that you are noticeing, problems, sypotums (spelling is not my strong suit and no spell check sorry: ( you are having trust me when you go back to doctor all the things you want to ask you wont remember them until you leave, and some could be very important. I didnt my first visits but after prompting from some people on here I did and was glad I did. I kept a little note pad in my pocket and if I noticed something or thought of a question just wrote it down. you may want to call your dr and ask about it the thudding fealing, could be something or just your mind playing tricks on u. Good Luck.

Ask about it when you get checked, they may be able to turn it down so you don't feel it as much. Or it could be that you're not used to the higher hr when you're at rest and you'll eventually get used to the feeling. My hr was low 30's before I got my pm so I was very aware of the faster beat for about the first year. Now it feels perfectly normal!
Please jump in any time you have a question. It's a big shock to get a pm with no notice and it takes a while to get used to it all! You're not alone.
