Whoo hooo

Went for my 1 month new pm check today. Zero V pacing, yea!. No significant SVTs or tachy. Reset the Rate Response activity from medium 3 to high 5. It was pacing me momentarily when I would exercise. Don't need the boost. So far my new Medtronic is better than my old Guidant.

Would be great to share info on the rest of your settings. I have been working with Medtronic directly and have received quite a bit if new information regarding the problems with r/r and exercising. Glad to hear you are doing well. Their still seems to be some confusion about the "atrial preference setting".......by my doc..........

I have the Medtronic Versa. My dx is SSN but good AV conductivity, Here are the settings shown on the report, Pacing mode DDDR. Mode Switch on. Upper rate 130. Lower rate 60. Paced AV Interval 150ms. Sensed AV Interval 120ms. PVARP or ARP auto. Safety Pacing on. PVC Response on. PMT Sensor off. Rate Response 5. Rate Adaptive AV Interval off. Activity Threshold high. Acceleration (min) .05 Deceleration(min) exercise. So far I am having virtually no symptoms with my new pm. Only adjustment at 1 month was to increase the rate response to 5 and the activity threshold to high. I was getting an extra boost in HR when I exercised and didn't like having the pm kick in for no reason. Since that one change, I am a very happy camper. Had numerous SVTs abd PVCs with my old pm. Got my fingers crossed that this new pm is much more sophisticated than my 2002 Guidant! Hope this info is useful for you.

Fantastic!
