it can feel like it's heavy and moving around until the pocket heals well. The heavy feeling should get better with time. If lying on your side is uncomfortable, wait a few more weeks until it's had more of a chance to heal.

They are usually stitched into place so it's unlikely (but not impossible) that it's actually moving.

Hi,

I have had my Pm for over a year now. Mine did the same thing. It was moving so much that I finally had my EP move it for me. He opened me back up & put it under the muscle. I feel much better now.

As far as laying on that side, there are still times that I can't. I have learned when that happens to just stay on the other side. No biggie for me.

Give it a little bit more time

I understand your pain and frustration. The good news is that ALL of us here have been through this. After a few months, the pain and heaviness that you're feeling should subside almost completely. Just wait until it starts itching....LOL.
Take things in stride, Cerilia, and give yourself time to get used to this new part of you.
I've had mine for 5 months and it still is tender and itchy some days. Other days, I forget that it's even there, except when I'm bathing or I see my reflection in the mirror.
As always, it's a good idea to run any concerns that you might have by your doctor or nurse.

Good luck,
In no time....you won't even feel it anymore.

I felt it too

It took a good four or five months before mine didn't feel like it was moving anymore. I'm going on seven months now and don't even notice it no matter what side I'm laying on. It does take some getting used to!

Just because you have a device doesn't mean you are damaged goods and can't do anything worthwhile and have to lie down and die. In fact, you're better and stronger. You're bionic!
