Hi all thanks so much for all your thoughts and messages! I am now post 7 weeks biventricular pacemaker replacement and can actually almost flip the thing over just by lifting my arm. No better than the first time I posted about it, except now it's more protruding. Called x2 for appt but can't see my doc until feb 19!!!! Can u imagine ?!?! I did get an appt with the nurse jan 21. Still 11days away but that's the best they could do!!!! I'm just hoping when the nurse sees this thing she finds any dr in the practice to take a look at it, it's grotesque and has to be putting stress on the leads moving around so much...
It's not like I'm in a small town, I drive to Lankenau hospital to Lankenau heart group in Philadelphia, to their brand new wing (huge) attached to the hospital so I am praying there is someone to check it out beyond the nurse!!! I'm so frustrated, this affects my job, my daily activities and wakes me up at night!!!! What else can I do?

You're right

You're right jean... He is dealing with his own cancer diagnosis and had not been"present " this past year... I have a cardiologist in my hometown in the western suburbs of the city, but he won't touch the pacer... It's just a small community hospital here.... I need a new EP, I'm just really concerned about finding a good one you know? Do I stay in the same practice, same hospital different dr or search a new one in a new hospital ??? It's overwhelming... That's for the support, I guess I'll see what the nurse says and start searching

Still hurting

I think I would change drs, I don't want a dr who is to busy to see me if I'm hurting!! There has to be more than 1 cardio group in Philadelphia. If it is bad you can always go to ER and show them what is happening, They have a cardio on call at most big hospitals. You have to take care of yourself, your dr doesn't seem to be very involved in your problem, find someone who will be. Good luck Jean

CRT Moving

by Joanne - 2014-03-17 02:03:51

Hi, new to the site, just got my CRT in Jan. I too have problems with the device moving every time I move my arm. It sticks out above the breast and under the arm. So afraid I am going to hurt it , thought it was not to move? Also have short of breath while laying down in mornings when I first wake up. All is so new , how do I tell if breathing problem is heart related or asthma? Thanks for listening, I am so glad to find this site!
