Annual MOT yesterday!

Just quickly reporting that 6 years pacing, all is well. Test went great, hardly any af episodes, my heart seems to be stronger and isn't using the pm anywhere near as much as in the early years. Had a great tech who showed me how it all worked and explained everything, about 6.5 years left on battery life. Sooooooo I'm going out tonight and gonna dance the night away! Might have a few cheeky glasses of red as my daughter is driving! Benefits of having a pregnant daughter, we don't have to drive!!!!! Now I call that a result!

After a night of northern soul dancing and a bottle of wine I thought I'd be aching today, but feel great!!!! Anyone who is struggling remember that as well as the physical aspects of having a pm there is a massive psychological aspect. When I first got mine I was very down and depressed, terrified!!!!! If you read my posts over the past few years you will see my journey. I'm now almost 61 going on 23, life is good! I got my rate response switched on after about 6 months, it transformed my life.

The pacer systems are really very reliable. The main problem is the incompetent programming of them. If yours is working well for you, get on with life and enjoy it. You probably are more at risk of problems with a valve job than the pacer.
