Frozen shoulder

There is a condition called Frozen shoulder which is relatively common among people who receive implantable devices. When you stop using your arm because of the discomfort associated with moving your arm around; addhessions can develop in the joint capsule. This is where the surfaces try to stick together because they are not being moved around. If identified and treated quickly there is a good chance you can get over it. Talk to your doctor about it and get a referral to a physical therapist.

like a toothache

i had my pm put in july and it would around alot i had the same feelings it was like a very bad toothache in my shoulder and down my arm i think it was because iwas in so much pain from the pm that i guarded my self on that side and i didnt use my shoulder as much as i should have.it was to stop my self adding to my pain i have had my pm moved 11 days ago and havent had the pain once.

My shoulders were fine until I had PM implant surgery. I know 1 other person with PM surgery, and she too came out with frozen shoulder. No, my cardio doc doesn't want to talk about it for whatever reason, but some of my heart hospital nurses can be coaxed into talking about it. They say it's very common. No idea whether it's caused by an inflammatory reaction to surgery or rough arm manipulation during surgery. All I know it that it's way too common to be random.

bra situation

sorry all you men out there who dont have this problem but us ladies do. i use to put my bra on boob in but not put my strap over my shoulder so at least you have one secure and one half way there lol they dont tell you about this and the ladies who have bigger boobs have a lot more pain..the strap is holding all the weight and its sitting right over the scar ooouch sorry i know you were talking about frozen shoulder i put my two pence worth in earlier but it is a problem that hasnt been discussed on this site we cant be the only one who has had this problem

that makes sense to me alice, the strap on a seatbelt drives me up a wall seems like it puts pressure on implant and it does cause discomfort, guess im glad i dont have boobs, well at least i dont have to put them in a bra I since being off work and not doing alot, except walking dave is getting a little of the ole man boobs. but I also have pain in my shoulder daisy more than what i had before they told me pm could be pressing against nerves causing it, i had the go to sleep arm before but along time ago i was diagnosed with bone spurs in my shoulder which they said it needed operated on, asked if it would hurt me and they said no, so dave being the brave soul that i am said thanks but no thanks ill live with the discomfort. alice tho had a very good explanation. good luck, tell the doc

I alos have shoulder pain from inplant 5 weeks ago. i had a lot of brusing still do. I put a piece of soft flannel around my bra strap so strap would not rub where they cut me. I will check frozen shoulder maybe that is what I have as it keeps getting worst every day
