its six weeks post for me. recovery from the installation of pm doesnt take that long. it feels wierd for a little while but u get used to that pretty fast. i had other problems before i got mine so they are still adjusteing mine, but for the most part for the pm/defib i have, adjusted and mended just fine in about a week. just make sure like caesium said dont lift ur arm above your shoulder and dont pick up wieght for awhile, doc will tell u if they dont ask, i was pretty causeous with mine well still am at almost six weeks. youll do fine

My dizziness and other symptoms were gone from the minute I woke up. The surgery itself took a bit longer to recover from, of course, but my energy level was awesome immediately and after a year of constant dizziness I was giddy with feeling normal again. I hope you feel better as quickly!
You'll need help with your son the first few days and it may be a few weeks before you can lift him, but all of you will be so much better off when you are feeling good again! Did you decide to go for a deeper implant? That'll add some recovery time but it's well worth it.

Dear Jenny B,
Absolutely no need to worry!
Had mine installed @ ~ 11:00am, got out of bed at ~ 13:00 and felt fine. No dizzyness, which was a problem when getting out of bed or up from a chair. Was home next day and could immediately go upstairs without becomming breathless. Wound healed after a week or so. You have to be careful how high and strong you raise your left arm, so be very cautious when you lift your one-year old!
Certainly wish you luck - I will pray for you.
Give us all a report when you are able - perhaps when the little one has an afternoon nap.
