Heartbeat in my ear

I notice that once in awhile I can hear and / or feel my heartbeat in my left ear. Has anyone else had this happen to them? Only other noticeable symptom is slightly hacking cough when I talk, which was something that happened a year ago just before I had the PM implant.
Thanks for any comments, thoughts?
Have a good day all

Fluid and/or Inflammation

Probably just a little fluid in the ear.

Could also be an inflamed area in the ear that is slightly swollen, encroaching on the eardrum. That would cause pulse sounds be louder.

Could be something else, of course, but I think that's the most likely cause.

Heart beat in ear

I've been able to hear my heart beat in my ears for years. I use it to follow the sequence during an office check of my pacer. It's how I originally noticed that my HR had dropped to 40 when I developed the block.

If it wasn't for the cough I would say there is nothing to it. They may not be related.

YES

When I wake up if I am very still and it is quiet I can hear my heart beat both atrial and ventricular beats. Only happens once in a while. I sometimes can check my heatbeat by sensing the beat in my fingers - I can actually feel the blood pacing through my fingers, so I dont need to feel my pulse at my wrist. There is nothing abnormal in what you are reporting. You only need to worry if you start hearing "voices" Cheers Peter

Yes I do hear my heart beat, and have a cough, i have been told that my medication for blood pressure is one of the side effects for that.
Do speak to your gp and maybe change of medication

Heartbeat, and glad of it

Thanks to all for taking the time to add your comments, definitely makes me feel better about it. Peter - too funny on the voices, if they are there hope they can steer me right direction when we go to the casino next week.
Suzy - luckily I am not on any heart meds, only Spiriva for very, very early COPD (thanks to my Dad's side of the family). We are heading to Oregon for Powered Parachute fly in (look em up online if you want to) for a week then to Oregon coast, then home for 5 days and then to Yellowstone for a week. As long as nothing major and cough just slightly bothersome I'll wait til we get back from Montana and go in and see family doc for a start, unless something gets more bothersome then I go ASAP.
Thanks again, have a good day all!!!
