Dull chest pain

2 wks post op. During surgery told dr I felt pain along breat bone in between breasts, right under bone. He said it was the artery where the leads were going. I still have dull ache some of the time. Is this normal? Will this go away.? I am sure if it was serious he would have told me??

I had the same pain immediately after surgery, however my surgen and doctor said they didn't know what was causing it. It gradually improved and it is totally gone now (6 weeks). I did notice that in my case I had 2 operations within days because in the first one my lead didn't take. In the second attempt they put towels under my spine to spread my chest cavity open. I did not have the chest pain after the first operation, but clearly felt it after the second one. Good luck in your recovery.
