ha!

Where there's a will there's a way! I just washed my hair two handed without breaking any rules LOL. If I tilt my head to the left and get my elbow up even with my shoulder, I can wash my hair pretty easily. Yay. I didn't want to keep pestering my hairdresser for a shampoo every other day indefinitely.

Tracey, I applaud your positive outlook on life and always putting a good face on whatever challenges you face. You inspire me to always remember how lucky I am to have received this little PM gadget and when challenges arrive, strive to find a way around them.
Somedays are easier than others...lol

Thanks for your good humor and insight on this site.

I'm less than a week post op and there's very little I'm not doing for myself. I'm still not driving or lifting. I'm milking it a bit on household chores. (ok, a lot, so sue me, lol) I'm feeling really good, haven't taken anything for pain in days now, am almost weaned off the daily naps. I'm taking it easy but plan to work a regular day tomorrow.

Hoorah !!!!

Way to go. Glad you found a way to wash your hair. We always have to adapt and live with our opportunities. When i got my pacemaker I reaised my arm to soon and a lead came loose. Had to go back and get it reattached, learned my lesson the hard way.

Its good to know you are doing ok.

Good for you! I would lean over the tub and use one hand to wash, then use the removable nozzle to rinse. But then I quickly realized that I couldn't style it...so I conned my husband into letting me get a wash/shampoo and blow out every 3 days for a few weeks! That was my silver lining!!! :-)

there's a way. Congrats Tracey, I'm dreading not being able to do some things for my self. I don't have the hair washing problem though. When I was running all the time I started shaving my head (hair is way over rated) and I can do that with one hand.

Have a good day.

Yay!

I love it when we can figure out how to maintain our independence!

A few adjustments here and there and bravo! We have clean hair. That is just fantastic!

With my lower disc broken getting in and out of the claw foot tub proved to be a challenge for me. Like you, I have figured out a way to get in and out without bending my back, which still hurts.

The men and women on this site are simply amazing... finding ways to help make our lives easier. It is people like you that give us hope.

I am off to church now... so I will see you all later.

I keep forgetting that you had a new lead implanted, which puts you back to the "raising the arm rule).

Glad things are going so well, although I expected it.
