Saved!! lol
Just want to say thanks, folks. Have had dual pacer for near 3 weeks now. Never had any thought of having one until I flatlined in emergency room and don't know of anyone that I know has one. Had the surgery and won't be seeing doctor for 3 months. (Technician took staples out) Have been feeling very lost with no info until I found this site. You all have been very helpful in making me feel much better about what going through. Probably be getting addicted to reading the forums here now, lol. Thanks again!

Hi, Pete,
Just wanted to say "welcome back" to life!!! How wonderful that you were in the ER when you flatlined! What a miracle!
Also, couldn't pass up the chance to say "howdy" to a fellow Okie!! My daughter & I are from OK as well. She has a pacemaker/defibrillator. She is 15.
I'm pretty new to the site, but, feel like I've known some of these people for awhile, they are so nice.
Hope you're feeling better soon,
Linda

Hi Pete, welcome to the group! I too have had my dual pacer for three weeks - it was implanted after my heart stopped for 12 seconds at the electrophysiologist's during a tilt table test. I'd read about the pacemaker at webmd & at Medtronics' site, but I didn't know the "real deal" until I found this site. It's extremely informative and you can always find answers here. Everything went so fast with my pacemaker implant that I hadn't even had a chance to ask many questions, so I really appreciate everything I've learned here.
Good luck in your recovery!
Beth
