another new icd member

Well this is my first posting. I got icd planted in my chest on Jan 17 and I have not had any problems. Just itches a little bit around the edges. I have been short of breath for several years of smoking stupid I know. I haven't had one sence Jan 15. The only real question I want to know is does anyone make a remote for this thing, if they do please don't tell my wife she wants one so she zap me like dog with a shock collar. LOL

Check in the photo gallery. You will find a picture of me with a dial on my chest so I can turn mine up and down!!

Don't get this remote thing started though. Someone will discover it is an efficient internal Taser.

Welcome Fred!!! I'm also new this week and have learned more in the past 5 days than I've been told in the past 2 yrs from all MD's (EP and Cardio). Sad that is the case.

I told my hubby that I could not bake up cakes any longer as the Kitchen Aide interferrs with my PM and I could not reach up into the pantry any longer! It worked for a while.. he now hands me the hand mixer, flour, sugar, eggs, oil.. LOL... welcome again..

Welcome

Welcome Fred. I haven't heard of the remote thing. But when I visit my parents house I normally with argue with my little sister and my mom threatens to turn on the microwave if I don't stop arguing with her. Haha....... My boyfriend also though It would be a good idea to put up a dogs inviable fence to keep me home so I stop shopping :)

I also Know where you comming from about the itching. I had my pacer implanted 12-5-07 and my tends to itch like crazy. Good Luck and Welcome to our wonderful little family.
