THIS MAKES ME ANGRY

Ok, I know that the general public doesn't think about young people having pacemakers, but I just picked up a college preparation "magazine" in the library the other day and on every other page, there was an add for some sort of US military service. I CAN'T STRESS THIS ENOUGH: I know that hardly anyone thinks that kids can have pms, but it is demeaning to the general public when the say "Do something with your life" or "Accelerate your life". Excuse me??? I can do great things just staying on civil grounds thanks. I am EXTREMLEY greatful to live in the U.S. of A, where our military is among the best in the world, but for crying out loud!!! Another thing; switching all cars to hybrids. THIS IS A NO-NO. I don't know what the exact limits of me and a hybrid would be, but I say better safe then sorry. If they switch them all, then I can't drive! Also, with all the cars in America and all of them being hybrids, I wouldn't be able to step outside with all the transmission waves going around. This is NOT scientific fact, but it makes sense to me. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I just think we need to advocate our situation just like they advocate cancer, AIDS, and all that other stuff. TAKE A STAND.

Angry?

YOUNG LADY TELL ME WHO THAT APE WAS THAT WAS FORCING YOU TO READ ALL THE ADS IN THAT MAGAZINE? I'LL SEND HIS KEEPER TO PUT HIM BACK IN HIS CAGE RIGHT NOW. ALSO, OUR MILITARY IS NOT AMONG THE "BEST" IN THE WORLD, IT IS THE BEST AND DON'T YOU EVER FORGET THAT.

DON'T WORRY ABOUT THE HYBRID CARS. SURE THEY MAY PRODUCE A VERY SMALL ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD, BUT I DOUBT THAT YOU WOULD NOTICE IT IF YOU WERE SITTING ON TOP OF A HALF-DOZEN OF THEM.

AND WHAT IS THERE TO TAKE A STAND ABOUT FOR US PM WEARERS? SO WE HAVE A MAN MADE DEVICE HELPING OUT OUR HEART, THAT MAKES US NO BETTER OR NO WORSE THAN THE PEOPLE WITH ANY ONE OF THE OTHER MANY ELECTRONIC DEVICE THAT HELP PEOPLE LIVE ABETTER LIFE.

SOUNDS LIKE TO ME THAT SOMEBODY HAS HIDDEN YOUR PACIFIER.

Hybrids???

I recently rented a Prius for a week, and guess what? I'm still here (I think).

I don't understand what your beef is with recruitment ads for the military...isn't it wise to recruit at a university, where the bright, educated, responsible people are more likely to be? I wouldn't want a military being led by the bums that hang out on their font porches accross the street from me (although some basic training may move get their lazy butts in gear).

It sounds like you need to fashion a foil hat for yourself, so that the evil corporate emitters can't fry your brains.

"I just think we need to advocate our situation just like they advocate cancer, AIDS, and all that other stuff. TAKE A STAND."

Puhlease!!! Read a book or two, and get your mind away from your X-Box.

Cheers,
Mike

Calm down...

I'm not sure what the PM aspect of the recruitment ads is since it doesn't sound as if you are interested in military service with or without one. I think of the situation this way: We are fighting the War on Terror (p.c. term for Islamic fascism) with an ALL VOLUNTEER military. They HAVE to recruit aggressively to attract qualified people. The job of a soldier is dangerous and requires a lot of sacrifice and discipline for not much pay. On the plus side, they do train you in various fields and it does look good on your resume. And for many people it is considered a patriotic duty. I am just grateful there are people who will serve.

Since you do have a PM, this ought to discourage any recruiters from harassing you. Just tell them you don't qualify on medical grounds. Skip over the ads. There are many paths to success in life. Explore potential careers the interest you.

As for Priuses, I'm sure that if there were a problem with them you would have heard about it from your PM manufacturer by now. They are very aware of these potential issues for liability reasons.

I apologize

uvagershwin,

I didn't realize that you were 14 years old when I posted my little rant.

I'm sure that you are above spending your day tied to an X-Box...sorry, I shouldn't assume.

Have a nice day, and don't worry...everything works out in the end.

Cheers,
Mike

Just a thought...

We all have our issues, our moments, our beefs, our questions:

- Is typing in caps equal to yelling?

- Don't hybrid cars still need electricity, which (if you get
your electricity from a coal generated plant) can also
be a strain on the environment?

- Does the fact the U.S. military needs to be the "best"
necessary because some countries have less than
stellar "leadership?

- Is my mom's next chemotherapy treatment going to
go better than the last one?

Hmmmn, which is the most important question to me...

Sorry

I'm sorry for blowing up, but sometimes I need to vent; everyone does. These three comments were not very helpful, especially Nim Rod's. Why do you have to "yell"?! It was only a post and I think you took it too seriously. And maybe I AM interseted. I know they must advertise aggressivly; I'm not dumb. And as for exsailor66, I read a lot and do not have an X-box thank you. You guys probably don't put up with things a teenager with a pacemaker does, so lay off. Like I said before, I am so grateful to live in this wonderful country of ours, and obviously everyone skipped over that part. I would appreciate a lot less judgmental statements in the future. Thank you.

P.S.

Thanks for comparing me to a baby, Nim Rod. That was VERY mature of you. I don't want to start anything, but it sounds like you take after your username.

ANGRY

I always yell at kids when they are irritating. But, just because my message was in caps does not mean I was yelling at you. That rule only applies to e-mails and these are not e-mails.

Now the real reason it was in caps is that I never look at the screen when I'm typing and I had finished when I realized it was in caps. But never fear dear, this is the last message you will ever receive from me and you may feel free to return that favor whenever you wish.

Lets make more kids go to college instead of war. humm lets see more technoligy to help everyone. First thing would be to educate the younger generation so helping poeple instead of sticking in our arses like this country is doing not the country the politicians sorry. like the old saying the rich get richer that is politics today. Technoligy like stem cell to reverse damage done.cancer, and other things that for some reason overseas are being done for the good of mankind, oh yes why its not being done here for the almighty DOLLAR THE ALLMIGHTY DOLLAR, THAT SHOULD BE OUR COUNTRY MOTTO :"FOR THE GOOD OF THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR IN MY POCKET" How dare some of you attacking gershewin like i saw up there.

You know you're wired when...

You trust technology more than your heart.

Just because you have a device doesn't mean you are damaged goods and can't do anything worthwhile and have to lie down and die. In fact, you're better and stronger. You're bionic!
