In a Medtronic PM, under Modes, what does the VVIR stand for? Also, under rates, ADL rate? Thanks for any help.. aldeer

Hi!
VVIR means ventricular pacing, ventricular sensing, inhibition response and rate-adaptive. So, the pacer is pacing and sensing the (usually right) ventricle only, it does not kick in when it senses an event (your heart beating on its own), and it adjusts the heart rate to physical exercise.
ADL stands for "activity daily life", so that's the heart rate for activities you have every day like walking around in the house or office, cleaning up, walking the stairs etc.
