Thanks for your input guys, thanks for the welcome but i have actually been a member since the pacer implant in 2007,regarding the afib i had an ablation for afib ,flutter done before having the pacer ,taking sotalol and digoxin but it still rears its ugly head ,usually in the middle of the night and is pretty painful. To manaman, just a few months after getting the pacer i was admitted to hospital with severe chest pains ,they did an angiogram and found one artery 60% blocked ,but did nothing about it ,was put on plavix, anyway on my routine check up with my cardiologist was sent for a ct angiogram which showed the blockage was now at 80%.
All the best guys

stents are a piece of cake! I've had three in the past three years. You can have it done either thru the groin or in the wrist. I prefer the groin area. Have a nephew that has had four and he goes thru the wrist. I guess it's a personal thing.
I assume that they have only done a stress test. Usually they do a cath and fix what they find wrong in the process. Interested in knowing how it was determined that you need a stent?
Good luck,
