I also have a big problem with keloids (surgery scar from OH surgery in 1996 still prominent). I just had my first PM put in in February. So far so good, I'm using an oil based product called Scargo and put it on 2x a day. My scar is still prominent and visible but the color has completely naturalized to the rest of my skin and it looks much less prominent than I expected. So try it.
And I also agree that a plastic surgeon is necessary some times. I believe insurance will pay for reconstructive surgery when you have keloids. On this one, I wouldn't be motivated to have more surgery, but my older one, yes.
Good Luck.

Thanks

Thanks for your commen"ts, not to keen on having plastic surgery at the moment, would be glad just to be without the irritation it causes, what concerns me is what will the outcome be when i have this pacer replaced. does the scargo help with the burning and itching, All best . Fender

use 10 to 20 drops of chickweed and the same of Vitamin E 2 to 3 times per day. This will soften the tissue. I know several people that this has worked for.

I am just now 40 but have had these blackouts all my life. I am thrilled with the pacer and would do it all over again.
Have you tried a Plastic Surgeon?

Keloids are messy & tough to treat. Plastic/reconstructive/cosmetic surgeons are probably the best bet for you. Have you tried one? Some people are just predisposed to getting them & they are a true challenge.
