Bubble/Blister on incision

I had my first device replaced at the end of January this year. All went well until two weeks ago when a small blister developed on the end of my incision. At first it was clear and after being on antibiotics for ten days it has gotten a little bit smaller but darkened in color inside and has a small red dot in it. The ep said he hasn't seen anything like that before but was tempted to make a tiny slit in it and see what came out but then changed his mind and wanted me to go see a dermatologist where they might do that in a more sterile office setting. Seriously, I think that is messed up for him not deal with it! Personally I think it might be a dissolvable stitch that didn't dissolve. I had many of them that worked their way out instead of dissolving. Any ideas?

don't take chances

Hopefully it's just a stitch but if there's the tiniest chance it's an infection, you need to know asap. Pocket infections can get complicated quickly so don't mess around. It's common to refer out to take care of it, it's not what ep's do best. If it is infected, don't stay with the dermatologist, go to an infectious disease specialist.

Hi Nat,
I had a lead revision 1 year ago and ever since I get what looks like a blister come and go across my incision. It gets very itchy and can last up to 5 hours then calms down. My doctors have never seen this before either. I have a photo of it in the gallery. Please take a look and let me know if it looks like yours. I am still trying to figure this out, it's not normal and keeps recurring.

Take care and I hope you get some answers.
