When in doubt call your doctor. I don't know much about ICDs but it seems a flash is something shall we say ODD?

Did you faint; that is, could the flash have been associated with fainting? If so, that could be an explanation for not feeling it.

thanks for the support

I try to explain it to Dr., everything goes white, then BOOM, you get kicked, The white light knocks out all other visual fields---sometimes I get the white light and then go back to normal but mostly, it is the warning shot to getting knocked down across the floor, or off the lawnmower, smacking into the door, last time I ended up under the stove in the kitchen. The great white light---it is either heaven's door opening or I'm gonna get the "squirrels" knocked out of me again.

i was having a bad day (9/28)...had been cleaning and was feeling a little punk, kept going and finally got home and decided to take a shower to see if it would make me feel better. well, it wasn't so i thought maybe the water was hot. OMG i thought i had been electrocuted. as soon as my hand touched the hot water valve, my icd fired (as it turned out) and besides the huge BOOM (only in OUR heads of course) came the blinding light. i turned off the water, carefully climbed out of the tub, bent down to get clothes and it fired again!!! that is when i KNEW that it was the icd. pretty horrible sensation isn't it? i almost panic when i start having that punky feeling now. i guess it beats the alternative though.

In fact after the final "tweaks" of my pacemaker programming at the one year check up it is working so well that I forget I have it.
