Hi Everyone.
I had my first pacemaker fitted 5th December 2022 within 2 hours of leaving the operating room my x-ray showed a lead was displaced. They took me back into surgery removed the pacemaker corrected the lead and implanted another pacemaker.
Two months later, I felt chest pain and took myself to the ER, after making me sit waiting for 13hrs I discharged myself after an x-Ray.
A couple of weeks later they contacted me to confirm that another lead was displaced. 6 months later they got round to implanting a 3rd pacemaker which has been working ok. .. so I had 3 in 8 months

It made a HUGE difference in my life. Once I got it, I was finally able to run, and ride my bike long distances.

That's a lot of replacement in a short time. The lag time in emergency rooms is horrendous but them not contacting you for weeks regarding your xray results is crazy!
