I will be 8 weeks after surgery this week. Will it be safe to play golf?

Thanks,

Playing Golf

Your doctor is the best source for an answer, but my doc. kept me off the course for 3 months. Of course I was 70 at the time but I had not problems. I always guessed it was just a case of being sure the healing was complete and that the leads were firmly in place. Even then I was a little hesitant the first few times I swung a club. Took me several rounds before I could forget the pacemaker.

Good luck,

BSS

Doc says 2 months

Two months is what my doc says and 8 weeks is just a little shy. Handicap is a different story. Can shoot anywhere between 74 and 94 depending on the day and how the flat stick is working.

If ur Doc says so............

Hi there, your question will it be safe to play Gold? Depends soley on two things. One what yor doc has told you to do and the other is your handicap. :)

I just want to share about the quality of life after my pacemaker, and hopefully increase awareness that lifestyles do not have to be drastically modified just because we are pacemaker recipients.
