They hit me with versed , dialuded , and fentanyl ---- was wide awake. Not what I was expecting - was liking for a wake me up when it's over experience .
Coming home I was as helpless as when I had bypass surgery - my wife had to "pull " me out of bed to stand .
i am icing which feels good .
I am also surprised they don't send you game with a day or two of pain medication ...
now when you ask they react as if you're a drug dealer
i am on day 4 and have more mobility but still hurts !

It's been years since I've been offered pain meds after a surgery, but usually they'll prescribe if asked.
Impressive

Do not understand why they removed your only 3 year old one and replaced it?. Why did they not just add a 2nd wire?. Also why did you not ask to be put to sleep for this one? Since you already had one implanted before.

Replacement

The first one used one wire the new one multiple wires - i guess the old one wouldn't support what my heart needed so they installed one that would .
they gave me plenty of drugs just not enough
You know you're wired when...
You need to be re-booted each morning.

I'm 43 and have had my pacemaker four weeks today. I'm looking forward to living another 50 years and this marvelous device inside me will help me do that.

I've always begged to be knocked out lol. Glad it's over with for you. Are you icing? I found that helped with pain more than anything.
