Heart racing

I am new to all this. Got pacemaker July 19.  Did great until last month. Now not everynight though i feel palpations and racing heart.  No one here in my area seems very knowledgeable.   The nurse called today and says its doing it during nightly test and they can turn off testing.  Says this happens in less than 1 percent of population.  However a few of those nights I had nightmares so i am quite unsure.  I havent had plapations like that since before my ablation in 2001.  Its all new and the medical fiels seems clueless.  Can I ride roller coasters, rides, water spirts that pull, lawnmowers atv?  I was doing really well just now umcertian about turning testing off.  Anyone else feel anything during the night

Every night @ 2:05AM, I have that test. It's slightly annoying as it is the ONLY time I have what feels like palpitations. This is my 2nd device that was implanted back in March and I never felt my other one do it. At my next visit, I will ask them to turn it off. 

Others will chime in on your other activities. I don't see a problem with any of them as long as no extremely hard hits come at your device. It would more than likely hurt your skin more than the device. I've hit mine while weightlifting, working around the house, dirtbike crashes, etc.. no problems.. not that I recommend doing what I do :) 

Just feel better, you'll forget this thing is there!

Nightly Test

Re: Nightly test - the simple solution is to get the techs to turn it off and see if things improve.  It isn't essential and lots of people react to it.  

Have nightmares set off any kind of high rate heart rhythm for you pre-PM and since your ablation?  If not, this is new and may be settings related.  Unfortunately, I don't have the same device as you, and am not familiar with many of it's features. Perhaps another 'owner' will come along and explain what may be happening. 

I imagine that nightmares could trigger arrhythmia.

May not be relevant, but they are famous for causing vivid dreams! I am on them, and find I sometimes wake up feeling really passionate about something (whether anger or a dtermination that I have to do something) but no idea what!
