SHOCKING STATE OF AFFAIRS

Yesterday in the papers and on the News at ten on television it was reported that the UK is desparately short of drugs and 50 different drugs are becoming very difficult to source. Apparently because of the collapse of the value of the pound it is more profitable to sell drugs which are made here to other countries, leaving uk patients to suffer. Patients are having to go without their medication. They include cancer drugs ,pain killers , epilepsy drugs, blood pressure drugs, antidepressants etc. Because of this patients are suffering "extreme" distress. It makes me very sad that profit comes before health in our country.I feel very sad about this. Whatever next? Our government is closed for the summer recess they plan to "look into it" when they return in the autumn. In the meantime ??????????

hi Pete
I absolutely agree with you about the state of affairs in our country especially the NHS
If one of their relatives or themselves took ill, the medication would soon be at hand.
Yes the Government is closed for the summer recess, do they think they are at school and need school holidays, well that speaks for itself doesnt it, they are school children.
When will we have a decent Government, shall you or I take over, we couldnt do any worse.
Take care

Well warned

When we travel back to Blighty we will stock up on medications. Thanks for the warning. Although, at times when I have been treated on NHS I have had no complaints. My how things have changed.

Not N.H.S.fault!

Surely you should be venting your anger at the drug companies, not the N.H.S! I have never been denied any drugs or treatment, and neither have any members of my family. I know the N.H.S has it's faults, but you can't pin this one on them! Jan
