Strange feelings

I'm a little over a year with my Medronics pacemaker for bradycardia. It's been fabulous once you get over the initial anxiety issues but recently I have been having strange experiences.
They only happen in the evening while trying to get to sleep and only when laying on one side ot the other. They give me an internal feeling like I'm flushing and feeling like I took a fast elevator ride down but they are inside of my chest area, no pain, no other sensations. They start in small spurts and can last several seconds and then go away but come back again and can occur several times.I'm alse being treated for acid reflux and back up water brash. Could it be that?
Anyone ever experience this? Did you find out the cause?
Thank you for any feedback.

strange feelings

hi george.

I'm thinking it is your stomach especially if it only happens when you lie down. BUT I am not a doctor, wish I were!! Did you mention these feelings to your cardiologist or pacemaker tech?

I have many stomach issues, but have never heard of back up water brash. I'll have to google that one.

Does it happen every night, what did you eat for supper or just before going to bed? I would keep a diary/journal.

Not much help was I?? Sorry.

I suffer too...

I'm glad to find two other sufferers from these symptoms. I have them occasionally, when I'm sitting down, but not while I'm sleeping, or if I do they don't waken me. I'd several episodes pre pacemaker and have had a couple since implantation in April last year. It's very unpleasant. I'd assumed it was my nerves. However, I assume everything must be my nerves. Perhaps this isn't. What can it be? Hope someone will enlighten us.

in any input about this! I have never bothered saying anything about this, but something similar happens to me every morning and sometimes in the middle of the night. I get this feeling of a massive surge in adrenaline and that awful feeling of going up or down an elevator that has broken! I too feel flushed, shaky, and faint[weak]. It makes me dread waking up! Of course it beats not waking up, so there's the trade off! Ha! Anyone else ever feel this way?
