my dual chamber pm placed monday.  hr set at 100. seems lil high to me.  what was yalls set on at first

Sounds high but you tell us nothing about yourself or why you need a pacemaker. There are reasons to start high and reduce it later but even still, 100 sounds high. Ask your EP. He obviously did it for a reason.

Mine set at 60-130. I am a 79 year old woman, 5'6", 155lbs.  My normal rate was in the low 50's.

That's definitely not a normal place to start, 60 is most common. Sounds like something else is going on like maybe trying to pace out of afib? It's ok to call and question it. It's also possible it's you, not the pacer, in which case they should be aware what's going on. If we have av block, our sinus rate was never the same as our pulse because the atria and ventricles were beating independently before being paced. Add the pacer, suddenly the ventricles are keeping up with the atria. In this case, the pacer isn't setting the pace, it's playing follow the leader.
