Toprol XL
My medication was recently raised from 25 mg twice a day to 37.5 mg twice a day because of a recent shock. When I take the higher dose I feel a lot more dizzy while walking and feel almost out of body.
Has anyone else had this happen?
I went back to my normal dose for a while and felt a little better but still dizzy, then had an a-fib episode.
I'm in the process of trying to contact my doctor but it's really hard to get an appointment with him.
I'm sick of not being able to function. If I walk more than 30 or 40 feet I feel totally off balance and sometimes out of breath.

Hi! Yes, changes in medications and in the dosage of a medication can cause symptoms. Your symptoms could also be coincidentally the result of something unrelated, especially with a recent shock, also. Please get with your medical care now. Don't delay and don't take 'later' for a reply to an appt. Take care until you can get evaluated. Hopeful Heart
