Soreness

Hi everyone I hope all is well, my question is I had my pm put in 2-21-20 so well over a month out it healed well but over the past week the incision site has been getting sore and yesterday it begin to feel tight woke up this morning to my shirt stuck to the site I cant see where it has leaked but its really painful and feels swollen because of the virus my dr canceled my appointment last week I have a telehealth appointment coming up Friday I'm just getting concerned has this happened to any of you? This could be an infection, which is the last thing you want.

I would suggest you see a Dr ASAP. If it gets worse, you may need to go to ER.

Thank you I just got off the phone with his nurse I'm finishing up with the antibiotics he called me in last week

You really need cultures so you can be sure the antibiotics they gave you are the right kind to get the infection. If they haven't already done so, push hard to get cultures done asap. I know they're trying to do things by phone now and that's great, but this is super important. You need to be very aggressive to get it under control as quickly as possible. If there is any chance the infection will move down the leads into the heart, they have to take everything out, treat the infection, then start over again so time is of the essence.
