lawn mowers

I have read in other places that lawn mowers will interfere.  Any experiences with this?

You'd have to press your chest very close to the ignition system

Unless you're planning on lying on top of the running motorised mower (i.e. getting your PM within about 6inches of the magneto ignition system) you will be ok.

Another urban legend that needs to be put to bed forever.

Happy gardening.

Only likely to interfere with you if you put your toes under the cutters.

Safe with PMs.  Cut the lawn regularly, and still have my toes!

Are you crazy. You should never ever run a lawnmower. For that matter you shouldn't operate a rake, leafblower, or any such tools. Most especially never ever ever do housework. That's why we have significant others. We're incapacitated  and need to rest and relax. Oh watching sports on the telly won't interfere with your device. However I invented a product that resolves these problems. It's a special helmet made of a precious material known as unobtainium. For the low price of $49.95us you can protect yourself with my helmet.

Seriously, Crusty is right, just another ridiculous urban legend that won't die. All the warnings have a technical root based in legalese called CYA...Cover Your Assets. I am pretty sure in the 13+ years I've had defibrillators I violated every one of those rules. Stop worrying and get out there and live.

I was told the engine from my Harley might interfere with my ICD, Fortunately that didn't happen. Otherwise I'd have to get rid of my ICD.

You know you're wired when...

You name your daughter “Synchronicity”.

My ICD/pacer is not a burden. I still play tennis and golf.
