Hi my son was born with complete congenital heart block which he now uses a pacemaker for,I was looking for some info as now as my sons 20 months old and not walking the doctor has X-ray his spine and there’s a crack in the top where it hasn’t fused together?also has 3 sacrel dimples and a preculiar sinus,I was wondering if anybody else is going thru this,and if it’s all connected to my sons heart condition,or if any body else has spinal conditions,any info wud be greatly appreciated thanks

Congenital defects are often multiple

There's an old rule in neonatal medicine: when you find one abnormality at birth, start looking for others. There does seem to be an association between congenital heart defects (usually structural issues not electrical like CHB) and neural tube defects (e.g. spina bifida).
I expect your son's doctors are aware of this.

no one has mentioned there could be other problems until i reported them and are now waiting for appointments to find out they have not said anything tht could help,they haven’t even said what they suspect the problem is with his spine,they didn’t rule out any other congenital conditions when he was born jus focused on he’s heart condition,I appreciate your respond thanks

now I’m no doctor but I also have been diagnosed with complete heart block also why I got my pm and that’s the first I’ve heard of it relating to the spine but once again not a doc but I would definitely ask his
