My doctors advice

by Heid-i - 2019-10-25 20:27:14

I've only had my pacemaker for a week now so I can't yet share my experience but my doctors advice was that I still won't be able to do my normal activities till after the six week mark (including simple thing like raising my arm) and it will take six full months until completely healed

They told me that after the six month mark I shouldn't really notice it anymore but till then I need to be mindful so it can heal

With that being said everyone is different!

If you're still feeling pain it can never hurt to check in with your doctors if you're concerned

Recovery Time.

Hi JimmyandJeremy,

I am still in the early stages (10 weeks in) and trying to come to terms.  I am 63 and have Mobitz  II block.  I took about 10 days for the surgical incision to heal and another 4 or 5 weeks before I started feeeling better.  For the first 6 weeks I continued to feel dizzy and my heart was still missing the odd beat, but this passed and I am now feeling better than I have for years.  I am back at work and trying to live as normal a life as possible.  I hope I continue to improve and hope you start feeling better soon.

Graham.

I am not planning on letting any of this shorten my life. I am planning on living a long happy battery operated life. You never know maybe it will keep me alive longer. I sure know one thing I would have been dead before starting school without it.
