also appointment taking place in Radiology dept, is that just an X-ray or actual pacemaker battery change?
Thanks in advance

On my letter for pacemaker X-ray reposition so wondering if it’s just that. Weird as preop the week before. Hopefully all will become clear next week

um a 58 yr old male , just had a pm replacement last Thursday, it was done in an OR attached to my cardiologists office. In at 7:30, out at 9:30. Procedure took 30 minutes. Replaced entire unit. Used propanol . Already back to work just don’t want me to raise my left arm over shoulder height for 6 weeks .
Thanks and update

I checked with Cardiologist secretary this morning who confirmed that appointment was for replacement. Now having to reschedule as the trip I'm on involves climbing zipwires and activities you cant do when you've just had pacmaker battery change.
Thanks for the feedback. Keep well
You know you're wired when...

The experience of having a couple of lengths of wire fed into your heart muscle and an electronic 'box' tucked under the skin is not an insignificant event, but you will survive.
Recovery period after replacement of PM

You can expect your recovery period to be the same as the initial insertion of the PM., perhaps a little slower as you are a little older than you were.
Surgery is undertaken in cardiology labs./suites usually. I would be suprised if they were using the radiology rooms- best to ask !
