Just wanted to say I had my PM replaced last week. Battery finally went into the red after seven years, NO problems at all. The removal and replacement took about two hours from the time was rolled under the lights till I was out of the hospital and on my way home. This one is wireless and they say I will not have to go to the doctors for the quarterly visits - it can be done over the phone.
Cheers,
Ken

Pleased that the replacement went well.
Are you now on one of the trials for one of the new wireless pacemakers?
If so, please keep us posted every year or so how you get on?

No wires? How does that work? I am a little on the thin side and it is the wires that mainly cause the problems. Like right now mine is in my abdomen and is causing major problems. It will go off like a time bomb and literally it is like a 20lb baby kicking and my entire abdomen all the way to up to my throat where I can't breathe. When the dr tired to reset it began vibrating and all I could do was cry and do deep breathing. Find out Wednesday when next surgery is!

Today I explained everything to my doctor, he set my lower rate back to 80 and I felt an immediate improvement.
Congratulations!
