So let me get this straight, when the surgeon implants the PM he leaves an excess amount of leads,so when it comes time to use the arm again fully the leads extend and don't pull on the heart muscle even though the leads are fully implanted in the heart muscle and screwed in.Some feedback please.

I wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for pacemakers. I've had mine for 35+ years. I was fainting all of the time and had flat-lined also. I feel very blessed to live in this time of technology.

They leave slack so moving around does not put stress on the leads where they attach in the heart. Often there is so much slack that they coil it and tuck it behind the device.
