Hello Everyone and Merry Christmas!
i got my pacemaker a year and a half ago. As I have mentioned in the past, it was an emergency situation and completely unexpected.
i have had a pretty easy time coping. I feel grateful. But last night I awoke with a jolt because of the following:
there was a flash of light that was a mix between a camera flash and an X-ray. With the flash I could get a visual of everything in my body particularly the skull.... teeth, etc. It felt electric. It jolted me awake and I had a terrifying few moments before I could go back to sleep.
has anyone else ever experienced this? Would appreciate any feedback!
thank you and merry Christmas!

i just passed out on the sofa one day. My friend took me ER where the same thing happened in front of the staff. I had complete heartblock and flatlined for 30 seconds. I came to and it was quite a shock. I was instantly given a pacemaker with the information that I had a healthy heart but the electricity was messed up ... kind of like a beautiful home but the lights don’t work all of the time.
I had been feeling a little off for a few months, but had no idea I had electrical issues!

Hello Grateful and Blessed
I'm 48 and got my PM at 47. Mine too was emergency. I've had that electrical jolt once since I got it 11mo ago. It hasn't happened again and not sure exactly when it happened the before. I just had a virtual check and everything was working fine so I'm not worried. Now 01/29/18 is another birthday for me, so now I have 2 birthday's. If you don't mind, could you share your emergency with me?
