New Implanted Loop Recorder rather than PM

Hello groovey PM friends.   I was diagnosed with 2nd Degree AV block Morbitz I in AUG this year.  Was initially advised that I would need a PM because I was symptomatic. ( recent syncope which left a nasty bruise and cut on my face.) I got a second opinion and have ended up with an Implanted Loop Recorder yesterday.  

It was impanted in the center of my chest between my clevage.  Feels very strange.  Bruised and sore to touch.  I cant sleep on my side as the wieght of my breast and crease in my chest causes allot of pain and discomfort.  

My question is,  how  long does this take to heal to the point where I can return to normal activities including lifting weight over my head and sleeping on my side? 

And has anyone had any issues going thru scanners at the airport? Can you still go thru the full rotating body scanner ?  

Also wondering the average duration that people have had them in?  I know its 3 months to 3 yrs, but am curious as to your experiences?
