Hi Everyone,
I am New to the PM world. Implant date 9/10/18.
I am still having some pain and discomfort around the implant area. I have gone to my F/u and everything is normal but I am still feeling soreness around the area. Please tell me this is totally normal and it takes a few months for the muscle to heal.
Thank you so much
Monica

Absolutely normal

I had mine implanted on 2/19 and it's still sensitive to the touch, particularly on the left side of the scar (opposite the pacer). I had very little pain, initially, but it's never gone to zero either.
As Jessie notes, just make sure it's not infected. Infections are nothing to fool around with.
as agentx86 points out i am tender if i or anyone else touches it but painful no

hope it helps to know you are normal.

It is just over 10 years since a dual lead device was implanted for complete heart block. It has worked perfectly and I have traveled well near two million miles internationally since then.

its normal to have soreness for awhile after surgery. only worry if redness occurs and it becomes in flammed. some heal quicker than others. you seem quite normal in your healing. jessie
