My pacemaker was put in on February 28, 2018. This week I developed Bronchitis and a painful, productive cough. When I cough, I feel sharp pains in the center of my chest and mid-heart location. Could my cough dismantle my leads ?

Coughing

Interesting. Towards the end of my procedure I was raised up slightly and told to laugh and then to cough as loud as I could. I suppose this was to ensure the wires would not come out under normal coughing and laughing.
You know you're wired when...

A pacemaker suddenly quitting is no more likely to happen than you are to be struck by lightening.
Leads after six months

Not at all likelu after six months. They're pretty securely fastened to your heart wall and veins. In fact, it would likely be a major deal to get them out if you wanted them out.
Enjoy your bronchitis and don't worry about your pacemaker. I enjoyed the hell out of it for a month after bypass surgery. ;-)
