I’ve had a pacemaker for around three years now. I’ve recently noticed a hardening around the area of my pacemaker. The hardened area seems to be increasing. There’s no more soreness than usual, but I feel something unusual is going on there: Swelling? Infection? Normally I can trace the edges of the device when I touch the area, but I can’t feel it any more. My readings have been fine my last few check-ups. Should I be concerned?

It's probably just scar tissue but I'd have someone take a look at it anyway. Signs of infection would be heat, swelling, redness, streaks, fever. A culture is the way to diagnose an infection.
Good readings mean it's pacing the way it should.
