Hi All,
Just wondering if any of you have had your pacemaker moved from a pocket to under the muscle? I had my pacemaker put in October 2016. I have it moved in April 2017 and now I am having it moved again but this time under the muscle (this is happening over the next couple of weeks).
I have had problems since day 1 with the pacemaker. I just will not stay in one place, it likes to move around the pocket, it turns over and stands up, which causes quite a lot of pain.
Has anyone had similar issues?
Or has anyone had theirs moved under the muscle and knows what the recovery time is, or how painful it is?!

I'm 35 and got my pacemaker a little over a year ago. It definitely is not a burden to me. In fact, I have more energy (which my husband enjoys), can do more things with my kids and have weight because of having the energy.

You might start off by asking the doctor if he sutures the pacemaker in place. Every device has a hole specifically for a suture to hold the device. it can still move a little but what you arer describing sounds like the Dr didn't bother to sew it in.
Yes, it is more painful under the muscle and as for recovery, that is totally dependent on the individual.
