Stinging wound.

I'm 6 weeks post op after lead and defib replacement. Woke up yesterday with stinging sensations in my wound that I'd not felt before and it was really pretty painful. Later in the day decided to have a look at said wound and saw something light coloured sticking out ... so I pulled on it and out came a piece of 'dissolvable' suture. And voila, the stinging was gone. I learn something new every day.

I am not planning on letting any of this shorten my life. I am planning on living a long happy battery operated life. You never know maybe it will keep me alive longer. I sure know one thing I would have been dead before starting school without it.
I didn't get sutures - I got itchy steri-strips!

I'm glad you found the source of the stinging pain. Just be careful pulling out sutures! My wound is held by steri-strips, and man do those things itch.
