Hello all,
I had a PM fitted 6 weeks ago, so there's a lot going on in my mind and body right now.
My main question regards blood pressure - I had a tilt test a couple of days ago, and fainted. The doctor said I had no blood pressure, but I need to check that when I see my doctor in a couple of weeks (it sounds too crazy)
My question is, can I increase my blood pressure?
I've started eating savoury breakfasts, drinking lots of water, carrying salt sachets... I can't start up at a gym or swimming pool till my doc gives me a note, so walking my dog and getting round the city to give classes is my exercise.
Any tips?
Thanks to previous posts I feel much better about my progress!
Hope you're all fine and dandy

You seem to be doing all the right things with hydration and increasing salt intake . If these don't work maybe a prescription drug such as midodrine or norepinephrine could be the answer.
If those don't work , as a last resort, try buying a self-assembly flat pack wardrobe and put it together with or without the instructions. It sends up my blood pressure every time !
Being a passenger while my wife drives is another useful tip.
Best of luck
Ian

I finished 29th in London in 2 hours 20 minutes 30 seconds which is my fastest with or without a device so clearly it didnt slow me down ! I had no problems apart from some slight chaffing on my scar - more Vaseline next time.

There are things that will help raise bp. For mefication, ask your doctor about " midodrine". You might also want to start wearing compression stockings maybe even an abdominal binder.
