I had a pacemaker put in 4 months ago and am having pain in the area where the leads stick out and the movement of the pacemaker when I use my arm. My doctor said it is because I am thin and have osteoarthritis.
Does anyone have any experience with repositioning the pacemaker?

At age 20, I will be getting a pacemaker in few weeks along with an SA node ablation. This opportunity may change a five year prognosis into a normal life span! I look forward to being a little old lady with a wicked cane!
Being Thin!!

I have had my pm 6 years. I am thin, 150cm and 42 kilos. I also have osteoporosis which is now quite advanced. A year after implantation I had a mammagram, a new digital thing. Radiographer pushed machine hard against pm, and the leads got shoved over and almost under my arm. Yes it hurt and I still have pain if I lie on left side akwardly and sometimes it just is uncomfortable. EP raised his eyebrows when I told him and when he saw it, but said it is still working well and there is nothing to be done until he replaces battery then he will 'sort' it.
I think you should get a check up and ask what you should be doing. Hope this helps.
