My single lead PM for SSS and bradycardia, I've had for 1 1/2 years, just wasn't getting the job done. I still had a bit of dizziness and low heart rate....again. So last Monday I finally got a new St. Jude generator and another lead installed. This time was a piece of cake....a little painful that night but nothing a couple of Tylenol didn't sorta kinda fix. (It's just so hot sleeping in that sling thingy). Anyway I feel much better. Just one thing I hope someone can comment on. Every once in awhile, for seemingly no reason, my heart rate will pick up for 30 seconds or so. Not max or over 100 but up like 80s or 90s. My low rate is set to 60 and my upper 130. Is that low setting ok? I run and bike and usually have low heart rates (but it was dipping into low 40s) and also is 130 to be the max ok for a runner? I run but not real, real fast. I'm 70 but still, I try to aim for and do a marathon a year, etc.
Any experiences or tips much appreciated. No one knows as much as people here about how it REALLY is.
Thanks so much,
Addiej

I am 100% pacemaker dependant and have been all my life. I try not to think about how a little metal box keeps me alive - it would drive me crazy. So I lead a very active life.

I just sleep in it. It holds my left arm To my side but I'm hoping I'm about done with it. I move it around a lot in the day. I've heard of that frozen shoulder stuff though!
