I am about one week from having my PM implanted. Worried about wires attached in my heart. Asked the nurse before I left the hospital that as long as I kept my left arm below shoulder height is it ok to run my riding lawn mower. She said that would not be an issue even with some rough spots in the yard. Worried about this causing problems with the leads. Any thoughts???

i was told by my doctor, no vacuuming, no pushing a lawn mower, no lifting anything over 10 lbs, no reaching anything that would make my arm go higher than shoulder length for 6 weeks. I have one more week to go. I would ask your doctor if I were you. Why take a chance of having to have surgery again. I followed Drs. Orders.

You won't damage the leads at that point, but the vibration may make you sore. Try it out and see. If you get sore, ice it.
