Hi! I'm new to this site. Just wondering if anyone has experienced severe chest pain after getting a pm? They claim it's not my heart but it's been terrible. I've been through every test and many trips to the Dr and ER and they are puzzled as to what is causing this. In thankfully heading to Mayo next week hoping they can figure it out. Just curious if I'm not alone on this...

Try to concentrate on how youre able to be active again and feel normal, rather than on having a machine stuck in your body.

Glad to hear you are going to a major medical teaching hospital.
In my case, I had severe chest pain that didn't seem to follow any pattern. Mulitple tests established that there wasn't anything wrong with the Pacemaker and there wasn't anything wrong with my heart. My cardio wrote me off as a nutcase because, obviously, there was "nothing wrong,"
It turned out that though heart and pacemaker were "fine" they didn't play well together. The EP at Duke discovered that the problem was, in layman's terms, that my ventricals do not like to be messed with. Fortuanately, since I had SSS with no heart block, it was possible to simply turn off the lead to the ventrical. Case solved.
Hope your answer is as easy. You are doing the right thing to go where they see more of the rare cases.
