4 years with pacemaker

Had my pacemaker 4 years and today just started with my collar bone aching and feels like the wires are catching can this happen? And also it hurts to touch it feels very rasied more than usual when I move my arm it twitches and then I get pain anyone else had this and sort of feeling !

see your cardologist or nurse, certanly after this much time you know what normal feels like, even if you hit it or bumped it or moved it somehow which can hurt for a while just like any other injury on your body.  but better to make sure you have not put it in a position that might pull out or break a lead or something undesireable like that.

 

if it doesnt physically feel right and you know what right is, and you know if you did or didnt bump it, call them..  I dont know about the ER, those are general docs that deal with all kinds of other things, they might get you to a cardologist faster, but maybe just calling your doc is best they deal with pacers every day and know what to ask you or know what to look for...

I'm 35 and got my pacemaker a little over a year ago. It definitely is not a burden to me. In fact, I have more energy (which my husband enjoys), can do more things with my kids and have weight because of having the energy.
