Pacemaker syndrome

I had my PM implanted on 3/24/17. I sent my doctor the following list of concerns today:

It has been just over 5 weeks since I got my pacemaker (3/24). There are a few things that I do not think are quite right yet.

1) On Sunday 4/30, I felt a slight flutter like I used to. It happened at 9:30am. (Doc wanted to know)

2) Daily there are times when I feel pain on the sides of my neck that goes straight up by my ears and jaw. It is not constant but intermittent.

3) I googled pacemaker and low blood pressure and it pulled up pacemaker syndrome. Is it possible I am experiencing this? (the neck symptoms seem to be part of it too.)

4) I still feel a heavy, insistent heartbeat at times beneath my left breast. This occurs anytime but I am noticing a pattern when I pick up something off the floor or ground it usually happens right after that. I was told that eventually I would not feel this. The beat is strong enough that it distracts me if I am talking.

5) I am finding that I am slightly lightheaded at times. Its very mild but I did not experience this before the PM.

6) I seem to have  developed a slight wheezy morning cough (could be allergies but since I am mentioning everything else)

7) it has been 5 weeks. Before my surgery I was told I would be ok to fly to Florida a week after the surgery. I was also told that I would likely feel better than ever after the surgery. While the wound is healing and I am getting used to the feeling of having the pacemaker by my left collar bone, I am feeling all of these other things that I did not feel before the surgery. Are there any adjustments that can be done?

Thank you!

A little more history-prior to surgery I was on Bystolic for 7 years. After surgery Flecanide was added. When it was noticed my BP was consistently low I was taken off Flecanide (which made me happy)and the Bystolic dosage was cut in half. The doctor now agrees with me about PM syndrome and wants to try another anti arythmic but I'm thinking maybe we should try the Flecanide without the Bystolic first since the other anti arythmic drugs (I have been told)have worse side effects.

Does anyone here have any experience like this?

BTW-My anxiety was pretty fierce at first but I am working through it. I just want to feel normal again.

I have had all your complaints except for the pain  It is ow three year post implant and you name the problem es I've had it all refs to PM syndrome

I have a dual chamber PM the room chamber was turned off due to rapid heart beat.  The worse feelings was ta of rapid pulsating of rhe carotid artery up tote face.  This was uncomfortable.

Hope you feel better soon!

My eight year old son had a pacemaker since he was 6 months old. He does very well, plays soccer, baseball, and rides his bike. I am so glad he is not ashamed of his pacemaker. He will proudly show his "battery" to anyone.
