Had the A V Node ablation done about 3 weeks ago. Still feel terrible. Can not explain to anyone how it feels. For those going through this, how long does it take to start feeling better?

1 month check should be standard

your team should carry out a one month check and data download and calibrate the settings accordingly - typically settings may have been made too low so it is active more frequently or it needs to be tweaked to a higher setting- either way the one month post op review should be done and then they are annual so u need to be comfortable with the levels set - the graph print outs are good to see and they can check particular days if you note the date of your strange activities/ feelings

Healing Time

I had a pulmonary vein ablation so that's different from an AV node ablation. However, I was told that the heart takes about 3 months after the ablation, to fully form the scar tissue that blocks the errant electrical impulses and that during that healing time, the heart muscle is irritated and it is possible to have increased afib etc. Also since the AV node plays a primary role in pacing your heart, it is possible that your PM settings now need adjustment. I would request a followup appointment with your cardiologist or EP so they can interrogate your PM and make ajustments if needed.
